The past one year has jolted us into a world of uncertainties; where the security of our loved ones, our livelihoods, our mental health and even our very existence has been put to question. Häfele Women’s Day Celebrations

8th of March came donning the International Women’s Day and was a super special day for the Hafele Women! Hafele India organized a special online fun event for its women employees complete with online games, interactions and a lot of laughter! As part of its annual Hafele Orbis Awards that are conducted every year on Women’s day, this year Hafele recognized all those female employees who became “front warriors” for us during the pandemic last year and assumed their responsibility of meeting and attending to customers to ensure Business Continuity.

Holi Painting and Drawing Contest

The existing pandemic situation has probably been the worst on kids who have surrendered to the unreal world of home-schooling. Now their bedroom has become their school and playground alike and the monotony of this restrictive routine is creating much frustration. To break this monotony, Hafele organized a fun Holi contest asking our employee’s kids to create drawings or paintings and send in their entries to us. The response was overwhelming and we were just happy to have added a few fun smiles to the otherwise drab routine of our little kids!

‘Girls Love Goals’ Football Tournament ft. the mentors by Hafele India and IWFA

This Women’s Day, the ‘Girls Love Goals,’ football tournament organised for and by women, saw some notable team mentors and support-mentors. The team mentors included Bhairavi Jaikishan, Tusshar Kapoor, Geeta Rao, and many more. Every mentor and their teams played for a specific cause.

Talking about the spirit of the initiative, Tusshar Kapoor says, “The most important thing is to break stereotypes that only certain kind of women can play sports, that women do not like to play, or that people do not like watching women play sports. The mindset needs to change, once that happens, the rest will follow.” Many fellow mentors were also seen expressing their awe and support towards the upliftment of these budding women footballers.
Being a patron for promoting women football for the past three years in India, Hafele, in collaboration with the Indian Women’s Football Alliance, has extended its support by sponsoring this women-led tournament. We’re extremely happy to have our cause, ‘Equality has no gender,’ see the light of day through such events.
