KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (POSITION SUMMARY)

The position is primarily responsible for Appliance testing, Quality monitoring, review on field failures, rework for improvements and responsible for regulatory (Failure %) and adhering to safety regulations, standards, and protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.

1    Product Quality, Consistency improving on failure rate 
2    New product testing and share the report within TAT 
3    Field failure review and decode the failure area.
4    Technical support and Rework training to field team for quick complaint resolution

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC

1    To ensure Product failure as per engineering structure and perform the KPI 
2    Engineering support on modification to field timely basis to avoid increasing failure ratio
3    To take responsibility of proper records/reports on component wise rework/designs
4    Testing every batch and handhold the engineering Parmenter’s – Regular Batch wise monitor 
5    PCB Reworking knowledge and identify the component failures for improvements 
6    Ensure senior management's commitment to safety compliance
7    Identify and assess potential safety risks.
8    Establish and enforce safety procedures and protocols
9    Provide regular safety training and awareness programs
10    Conduct regular safety audits and inspections ,review and improve safety compliance process
 

OPERATIONAL

     1    Product Testing 
•    Test the product and review all engineering parameters and check list before sharing the report to supplier/product team.
•    Field/Live test to be performed as per need basis.
2    Batch Testing
•    Batch testing to be carried every article and review the report with original approval.  
•    Batch failure to be alert the product team and supplier with detailed engineering report.
•    Batch records to be maintained and monitored to support field service 
3    Version Controls 
•    Component wise version to be vetted carefully before approving/consenting. 
•    Share with field and Spares on version controls to handle after sale service inventory, business decisions. 
•    Certification/Documents to maintained on versions. 
4    Test Equipment’s and calibrations
•    Testing equipment’s to be calibrated timely / when required. 
•    Ensure the equipment’s are performing anytime, if any issue, tickets should be raised and intimated for faster resolution.
•    Safety regulation to be followed at Engineering department premises.
5    Customer Visits
•    Ensure to visit customer premises with Filed team during critical failure or Quality failure alert.
•    On filed training to the team during version update/enhancement.

6    Engineering Certification 
• Engineering Certification to be update as per levels designed by the Engineering Department. 
• Regular training at field and training centers. 
7    Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations
•    Implement and maintain safety protocols to adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
8    Conduct Regular Safety Audits 
•    Identify and mitigate potential safety risks through regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments
9    Provide Safety Training
•    Develop and deliver safety training programs for engineering staff and other stakeholders to ensure awareness and compliance
10    Implement Safe Work Practices
•    Promote and enforce safe work practices, including proper use of electrical testing equipments and safe operating procedures
11    Investigate and Report Incidents 
•    Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
12    Maintain Safety Documentation
•    Ensure accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, including records of safety training, audits, and incident reports
 

DEVELOPMENTAL

    To remain informed and updated with Product Knowledge and safety compliance
Engineering and certification knowledge to kept updated.

ROLE REQUIREMENT

1    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION    BE/BTech in Electrical, Electronic, Electronics and Communication
2    PREFERRED QUALIFICATION    Engineering  
3    CERTIFICATIONS ( IF ANY)    Technical Certification, Testing, Quality 
4    EXPERIENCE    (03-05 Years) Experience in Appliances. 
5    AGE    26-35 years
6    ADDITIONAL SKILLS:    Technical Inclination
        Good Communication Skills
        Expert in MS office preferably in Excel working 
        Machine Calibration 
        Knowledge in safety compliance
