KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (POSITION SUMMARY)

The key purpose of the job is to provide kitchen, wardrobe and other furniture designs for display purpose (regional level) & for Design Centre Clients by properly understanding their requirements and suggesting appropriate solutions to them.  The role also demands business development and sales assistance support to the Business Development team as and when required, Training of New & Junior designers on principle of kitchen planning.

KEY RESULT AREAS

1    To deliver the designs within 48 hours to the clients.
2    To take proper site measurement as and when required and visit clients for understanding site details and customer requirements.
3    To prepare BOQ’s for the Kitchen/Wardrobe designs prepared/received from the clients.
4    To handle walk-in of Design Centre and accordingly follow up for closure.
5    To provide Display design for dealers & OEMs (within 6 working days)
6    To train New & Junior designers

STRATEGIC

1    To deliver the designs within 48 hours to the clients.
2    To take proper site measurement as and when required and visit clients for understanding site details and customer requirements.
3    To prepare BOQ’s for the Kitchen/Wardrobe designs prepared/received from the clients.
4    To handle walk-in of Design Centre and accordingly follow up for closure.

6    To train New & Junior designers 

OPERATIONAL

1    To ensure that 1st set of drawings are sent to customers within 48 hours after understanding the needs     
2    To ensure that designs made are in line with latest products and also stock availability.    
3    To handle walk in clients and accordingly follow up for closures.    
4    To go through catalogues and analyze the products to be recommended according to client’s requirement.     
5    To follow up with sales team for orders placed by customers based on designs submitted.    
6    To maintain proper record of design fees collected from the customers.     
7    To resolve customer queries with respect to specifications and special requirements.     
8    To attend clients in Design Centre and make site visits wherever required to make accurate measurements for the designs.     
9    To follow up with the customers to ensure that the design gets translated into orders from customers

DEVELOPMENTAL

1    To keep oneself updated and well trained on the new products from the Product Managers trainings and incorporate the knowledge gained in the designs.    
2    To work closely with all the sales staff in the region and provide support services to all customer segments.    
3    To work closely with designers of other regions of the company and Head Office.    
4    To develop an awareness of trends and developments in design, materials, techniques and technology.    
5    To ensure Development of new/junior designers on product, software skill & designs as per Hafele standards.

ROLE REQUIREMENT

1 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Designing
2 PREFERRED QUALIFICATION B.Arch
3 CERTIFICATIONS ( IF ANY) AUTOCAD
4 EXPERIENCE 7-8 years
5 AGE >28 years
