KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (POSITION SUMMARY)

 

The position is primarily responsible to provide functional support to the sales team for multiple projects and manage the Estimation department.

KEY RESULT AREAS

 

  1. To develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for the projects
  2. To evaluate Customer Request for Tender/ Quotation documents
  3. To maintain client relations by being lead contact of proposal for client.
  4. To revise estimates and implement required changes.
  5. To ensure prompt response to technical queries from the sales team

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Below listed are the tasks and responsibilities specific to your position.

STRATEGIC

 

  1. To develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for the projects
  2. To evaluate Customer Request for Tender/ Quotation documents
  3. To maintain client relations by being lead contact of proposal for client.
  4. To revise estimates and implement required changes.
  5. To ensure prompt response to technical queries from the sales team

OPERATIONAL

 

1.  To study  enquiries received from sales team ( Projects, hospitality)
 

  1. Enquiries without drawings
  2. Enquiries with simple drawings
  3. Enquiries with multiple and complicated drawings
     

2.  To go through catalogues and analyze the products to be recommended according to client requirement.
 

3.  Prepare Bill of quantity (BOQ’s) which includes details like:
 

  1. Product image
  2. Article number
  3. Price
  4. Quantity
     

4.  To send BOQ to the concerned sales person for customer approval
 

5.  To Resolve customer queries w.r.t. specification or suggest alternate product, if required and ensure customer satisfaction.
 

6.  To study competitors BOQ received from client and specify Hafele range against it.
 

7.  To address special price request received from sales team:
 

  1. Understanding the request
  2. Analyze Supplier price, DP, MRP
  3. Calculate Gross margin
  4. Take approval of National Manager
  5. Suggest Special Price to Sales Person/Client
     

8.  To provide technical assistance to sales  and Estimation team:

  1. Product Application
  2. Technical guidance and clarifications
  3. Technical data
  4. Product cut out details
     

9.  Site visits: To meet contractors/architects and end customers on site to understand site conditions and product application.
 

10. To assist purchase department in EPCG orders by recommending alternate products and providing technical assistance wherever required

11.  To ensure timely submission of reports

ROLE REQUIREMENT

 

1   ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION Graduate
2 PREFERRED QUALIFICATION Diploma/BE Mechanical
3 CERTIFICATIONS ( IF ANY) Auto cad drawings, GAI(Ironmongery certification)
4 EXPERIENCE 5 years of relevant experience
5 AGE More than 28 years
6 ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Good communication skills

Ability to read AutoCAD drawings
Good knowledge of MS Office
