KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (POSITION SUMMARY)

The primary objective is to deliver exceptional value for money to the market, ensuring Häfele remains at the forefront of emerging product trends, while continuously refreshing and maintaining the relevance of existing product ranges within the aluminum profile and furniture fitting portfolio.

KEY RESULT AREAS

1 Responsible for planning and execution of the product throughout its entire life cycle

2 To analyze market demand and competition for existing and new product range.

3 To source attractive, competitive and market suitable products

4 To devise plans for successful market launches and other associated activities around the products.

5 Ensure effective product communication to all concerned departments.

6 To conceptualize suitable product packaging to provide an attractive proposition in the market.

7 To ensure quality of all products introduced in Hafele India.

8 Ensure regular visits to the market as well as to local and suitable international exhibitions.

9 Bias for execution and speed of execution 

STRATEGIC

1 Ability to define the requirements for new product sourcing and displaying the ability to judge the current market conditions & trends to prepare a comprehensive, attractive and successful product range.

 2 To constantly maintain the entire product range through its entire life cycle based on statistics to determine which products should be eliminated for the range and/or replaced with new ones

3 To analyze slow moving products and devise corrective measures like price corrections, relaunch activities and promotionalsale of products (twice a year) in case of discontinuation or elimination of a product from the range 

OPERATIONAL

1 Proficient in interpreting technical aluminum profile drawings and possessing a strong understanding of the furniture fittings market

2 To collect competitive and Trend information on a regular basis and use it to strengthen the product selection and positioning of furniture fittings in the market. For this purpose regular visits to the market as well as to local and suitable international exhibitions are compulsory.

3 To analyze Slow moving products on a continuous basis to understand the cause of lack of movement and accordingly implement corrective measures like price corrections, relaunch activities, or in the case of discontinuation, promotional sales of products which are to be eliminated from the range, on timely basis.

4 To search the Hafele’s existing global product ranges for a required item before setting out to identify suppliers of new products which are required in the category.

5 To ensure competency mapping of new suppliers in terms of their manufacturing capabilities, quality and control systems, raw material sources and the overall reputation in the market.

6 To conduct negotiations in regard to all purchase requirements like price, MOQ’s, payment conditions, delivery times, branding, packaging, labeling, etc. once a new supplier has been approved and due diligence completed

7 To organize and ensure Quality testing through a third party for new products, in his category wherever required.

8 To develop product packaging concepts for the category for different channels to provide a more attractive proposition for different customer groups.

9 To determine pricing and drive marketing campaigns and promotions in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Teams for new products and those from the existing range which requires a renewed push in the market. 

OPERATIONAL Cont..

10 To effectively communicate with all concerned departments such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, Purchase, Finance, Design & Implementation, Logistics and Training to introduce new products into the operation and the market successfully.

11 To ensure proper display placement of all products – old and new - throughout our dealer and Franchisee shop network.

12 To monitor and analyze the success of newly launched products in the market and devise corrective measures when products do not perform according to expectation.

13 To manage and create proper display, branding and promotional concept when a new product is sold through our network of dealers and Franchisees, in coordination with the Marketing and the Design and Implementation Teams

14 To plan and implement a promotional activity in case of replacement or elimination of products.

15 To effectively communicate to all stakeholders in regards to the performance of new product as well as for products from the existing range by circulating regular reports.

16 To monitor and review product complaints for his product category and resolve those with our suppliers and/or our operations, whoever is responsible, to minimize losses for the company.

17 To develop, manage and mentor team on principles of high commitment of delivery and execution of sales. 

DEVELOPMENTAL

1 Regular “New Product Trainings” have to be organized and conducted in conjunction with the Training Department for both internal as well as external customers.

ROLE REQUIREMENT

1 PREFERRED QUALIFICATION ENGINEERING

3 CERTIFICATIONS ( IF ANY)

4 EXPERIENCE 4-5 years in Furniture

5 AGE 25-30

6 ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Knowledge of Furniture market Good at planning, organizing, structuring his work Committed Team Player Should have a clear thought process Goal Oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels Good Presentation and Facilitation skills Data Orientation with high analytical skills Good Working knowledge on MS Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint
